Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Processes and tracks all payments related to division billings. Handles daily deposits, data entry into billing systems, and provides back up for front desk and phone operator.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Three (3) years of experience directly related to these duties.
Upon hire, a two-step Tuberculosis skin test will be required. The first will need to be placed prior to starting employment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Collect payments, records billing transactions and issues receipts. • Processes online and electronic remittance advice payments and reconciles transactions. • Prepares and processes daily, monthly, and quarterly reports. • Serves as agent cashier responsible for deposit preparation. • Performs data entry and work processing functions. • Performs customer service functions in person and on the phone. • Completes initial billing. Prepares external billing records. • Initiates refunds and completes adjustments and refunds. • Serves as back-up for receptionist.
TEMPORARY POSITIONS:
An "At Will", FLSA non-exempt employee who is not eligible for County benefits and who must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.

Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy.
Are not considered merit employees.
Are "at will" employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THIS POSITION
This position is located at the Health Department's Executive Director's Office at 2001 S. State Street suite S2-600, Salt Lake City. The work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, working 20-40 hours a week. Currently this position does not offer benefits but there is a possiblity of a time limited position with benefits in the future.
