The Utah State Hospital is seeking a qualified *Clinical Psychologist *to work in Provo,UT to work in the treatment of mentally ill patients in our beautiful inpatient facility. Nestled up against the beautiful Wasatch mountains of Utah County,this sprawling 300 acre campus is home to multiple units specializing in the mental healthcare of psychiatric patients.   *Principal Duties * As a Clinical Psychologist,you will provide professional psychological services in the areas of diagnostic testing and assessment,treatment plan development and implementation,program development and implementation,coordination of services and other related activities.

*The Ideal Candidate will be: *

  • licensed as a Psychologist,eligible to practice in the state of Utah.
  • able to competently provide diagnosis and therapeutic intervention.
  • experienced working with mentally ill individuals in an inpatient setting.
  • experienced in providing consultation,expert advice,and testimony.
  • experienced in providing individual,group,or family counseling.
  • knowledgeable regarding court/hearing rules,procedures and protocol.

Retirement - Utah Retirement Systems (URS):

  • Employees who have any service credit with an employer covered by the Utah Retirement Systems prior to 7/1/2011 are in the Tier I Public Employees System.
  • Employees hired on or after 7/1/2011 and who have never been in the URS retirement system have two options for retirement in the Tier II System. 
    1. Tier 2 Hybrid Retirement System. Employer contributes an amount equal to 10% of your salary between both plans (pension and 401(k))
    2. Tier 2 Defined Contribution Plan. Your employer contributes an amount equal to 10% of your salary to a 401(k) plan only.  
    3. Employer contributions to your 401(k) are vested after four years.

Paid Time Off:

  • Annual leave and sick leave are accrued at 4 hours per pay period each (4 hours annual,4 hours sick).
  • Annual leave amounts increase with years of service. 
  • We have 12 paid holidays.
