Job Description
The role of Clinical Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Testing, Compliance, Accountability, and Accreditation ensures compliance with accreditation standards, supports testing and assessment practices, and promotes continuous improvement across College programs through collaboration and data-driven decision-making. In addition, the role includes teaching minimum of one course each semester. The role involves significant collaboration with faculty, staff, administrators, and related university offices to maintain compliance with state and national regulations.
Responsibilities:
Lead and monitor compliance continuation by programs and CAFE, support university program review processes, and serve as a liaison with external accrediting and compliance agencies such as TEA, CACREP, and SACSCOC.
Serve as the primary contact for students and graduates regarding testing, planning and supporting TExES testing.
Develop assessment and data analysis protocols, execute annual internal audits of TEA-aligned programs, collaborate with faculty and staff to design assessment tools and processes, and maintain testing policies and documentation.
Collaborate with the Certification Officer for state and national reports and provide guidance and training on compliance, accountability, and accreditation.
Serve as chair of the Assessment Committee.
Serve as a liaison with 240 Tutoring, Mometrix, and the Representative Exam for course scheduling, training, and data analysis.
Supervise Graduate Assistant content tutors, and coordinate with the library and campus tutoring centers for study resource.
Develop a relationship with partnering districts/schools that supports and enhances TAMUSA's mission and goals.
Attend required professional development activities.
Provide support, guidance, and oral/written feedback to enhance student development as a classroom teacher.
Testing & Data Management:
Serve as the Testing Coordinator for College and point of contact for graduates and students regarding testing requirements and scheduling.
Maintain and communicate testing policies, preparation materials, and practice exam schedules.
Supervise and train TEXES preparation GAs, ensuring compliance and logistical support for practice exams.
Administer practice exams, including scheduling, enrollment, eligibility verification, and test consultations.
Collaborate with 240 Tutoring for course scheduling, training, and data analysis.
Provide data updates to Leadership Team and TEA Advisory Board, and support testing related communications for students and faculty.
Ensure compliance with College Assessment Plan and oversee annual audits of TEA-aligned programs.
Facilitate faculty and staff workshops on assessment tools, testing policies, and program improvement strategies.
Compliance & Accreditation:
Lead TEA compliance efforts, monitor program alignment with TAC and ASEP standards, and report compliance status to college departments.
Act as a liaison for SACSCOC program review processes and ensure adherence to university, state, and national accreditation standards.
Coordinate annual program reviews, provide updates on TEA, SACSCOC, and other compliance requirements, and assist with Title II report data collection.
Support accreditation efforts for CACREP (Counseling) and CAEP (Educator Preparation), including preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Serve as the College’s primary liaison with accrediting agencies and external stakeholders.
Accountability & Continuous Improvement:
Develop and lead assessment strategies to meet state compliance, accreditation standards, and institutional goals.
Lead the collection and analysis of student learning outcome data, promoting continuous program improvement.
Coordinate Assessment Days, conduct mock audits, and ensure effective record-keeping and data sharing across the college.
Provide leadership on accountability initiatives and maintain a Quality Assurance System for the College.
Promote professional development and provide training on assessment, accountability, and accreditation processes.
Service & Collaboration:
Co-lead the TEA Advisory Council and Cross Discipline Education Committee for College.
Collaborate with other A&M Assessment Coordinators to enhance program improvement models and build best practices.
Assist with planning JagsROAR, JAGS Symposium, and other events that support student success and engagement.
Required Education and Experience:
Master's degree in field relevant to the position.
Five years of experience working in a supervisory or administrator role.
Valid Texas teaching certificate.
Eight years of experience at the K-12 or higher education level.
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
Demonstrated understanding of institutional compliance processes.
Demonstrated proficiency with technology and apps to support others.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Awareness and understanding of current teaching strategies.
Ability to work with the public in a pleasant, cooperative, collaborative manner.
Ability to travel to multiple school settings within a target area.
Ability to navigate the University's website and enter data.
