Description

As our client continues to expand their operations, we are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join their team and contribute to their continued success. We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist who will be responsible for managing the human resources functions of our company. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and excellent interpersonal skills. This role will play a key part in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and maintaining HR policies and procedures to support our workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment process from job posting to hiring, including screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.

  • Coordinate and conduct new employee onboarding and orientation sessions to ensure a smooth transition into the company.

  • Administer employee benefits programs and handle inquiries regarding benefits eligibility, coverage, and claims.

  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, HRIS data entry, and compliance with legal requirements.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance with labor regulations.

  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.

  • Conduct training sessions on various HR-related topics, including diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Support HR initiatives and special projects as assigned by management.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR role in the construction industry or related field.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.

  • Solid organizational and time-management abilities with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
