Description

Amazon is all-in on games, and our mission is to be the most customer-obsessed company in the games industry. The “Anti Team” at Amazon Games is responsible for protecting the multiplayer experience of millions of players by providing anti-cheat, anti-fraud, and anti-bot solutions.

Amazon Games is seeking a highly talented Software Development Engineer to join our Anti Team.

In this role, you will work within our Business Intelligence organization along-side anti-cheat industry veterans to lead the development of Anti's AWS-based solutions to protect games developed or published by Amazon Games. We work to combat bot, fraud, and cheating in AGS video games by processing and acting on large scale data systems.

A Software Engineer II at Amazon Games is expected to build, test and maintain software solutions. These solutions often span multiple domains, including Data Science, Data Engineering and Game Business Analysts.

A successful candidate will be able to work independently and with the team to deliver software for our customers, by delivering frequently and incrementally. They should have an understanding of the AWS Ecosystem and have a track record of building and operating scalable, performant, and reliable services.

Key job responsibilities

Anti's SDE II works closely with Game Productions and anti-cheat/fraud experts to design and implement solutions for preventing, detecting and taking action against offenders. These solutions leverage AWS and ingest trillions of events, train and run machine learning models, perform anomaly detection, and process telemetry emitted from other game security solutions. In general,

  • You design, implement, test, deploy and maintain services built using AWS.

  • You use software engineering best practices to maintain a high standard of quality of features for our customers.

  • You are an active part of the team’s operations. You ensure the stability of the system to meet the expectations of our customers.

  • You understand the business impact of your systems and show good judgment when making technical trade-offs between your team’s short and long-term needs.

  • You make existing systems and solutions simpler.

  • Where your work involves other teams with their own priorities, you create the right checkpoints to ensure a successful delivery.
