Organization and Role Summary :

The DRS Sales Strategy Manager (DSSM) is responsible for the deployment of tactics, resources, and support infrastructure dedicated to enhancing the overall sales performance of the Distributed Retail Sales (DRS) Home Lending Team within the Branch Network. The Branch Network is part of Citi’s U.S. Retail Bank.

The DSSM role resides within the Retail Lending Sales Strategy Team, part of the Branch Strategy and Enablement Organization in the Branch Network, helping cultivate and deploy national strategic initiatives and sales development.

The role is aligned by Branch Region geography and is a dedicated resource supporting two Branch Regions. This DSSM role will be dedicated to the West Regions of Northern California/Nevada and Southern California .

The DSSM is a seasoned professional who applies home lending (aka Mortgage) industry expertise contributing to the overall business objectives of the U.S. Retail Bank through effective strategy execution and the improvement of processes for the DRS Home Lending teams. The role’s body of work focuses on Business Development and Sales Activities, Branch Partnership, Strategic Initiatives, Tools and Capabilities, and Region business execution. The DSSM understands the expectations of the loan officer/sales employee, including the strict adherence to compliance at all times, and ensures their work adheres to the rigor of Citi’s Risk and Control framework.

Working closely with Sales staff, business partners, and various levels of leadership, the role requires extensive collaboration and influencing of decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others. Strong critical thinking skills will be required to filter, prioritize, and validate potentially complex and dynamic information from multiple sources. Broad communication and diplomacy skills are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the sponsorships, memberships, and event processes, for the aligned Areas and Regions. This includes the review and vetting of all business development opportunities, providing guidance and accountability while ensuring budget tracking and prudent expense management.

  • Supports the Branch Partnership through various tactics including lead routing support, branch coverage optimization and alignment, and partner communication and engagement strategies.

  • Responsible for the development and execution of national strategic business initiatives. Works in coordination with business leadership in creating, driving, and supporting business plans and initiatives. Includes supporting through coaching, mentoring, and training of sales staff.

  • Works closely with the Region Lending Directors (RLD) to develop and execute region specific business initiatives and align with Region Head (RH) expectations to drive the Branch Network and Retail Bank strategies and priorities.

  • Engages directly with Loan Officers and the Sales Leadership teams to ensure a consistent client experience and sales delivery and to our internal and external partners.

  • Responsible for dissemination and implementation of various communications in support of business execution.

  • Partners with the Lending Product Team to ensure utilization and continued enhancements to the tools and capabilities dedicated to sales activities (such as Salesforce and Total Expert); Represents as the “voice of Sales.”

  • Responsible for driving adoption of critical marketing material, collateral, and signage supporting business development strategies.

  • Supports the onboarding journey of all newly hired sales employees through various engagement.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Citi policies. Applies sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • Home Lending/Mortgage Industry experience required; preferably within Retail Sales, Sales Support, or Learning and Development equivalent.

  • 5-8 years of experience in sales, training and/or sales support

  • Proven success record in selling and/or leading others.

  • Ability to clearly articulate business objectives and/or programs to various levels of management

  • Requires use of conceptual and innovative thinking

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$109,120.00 - $163,680.00
