Job Title: Controller
Job Description
Manage all aspects of accounting operations including billing, financial statements, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, ATM balancing, and budgeting. Responsible for 9-direct report and 2 in-direct reports. Ensure accurate monthly closing of accounting records for all consolidated entities, including accrual entries for loan loss allowances and pension liabilities. Direct the development and monthly review of financial records for accurate and timely information provided to management and the Board of Directors. Prepare financial statements and handle audits of retirement benefit plans. Oversee the production of various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports including Quarterly Call Reports and respond to annual independent audit inquiries. Collaborate with auditors on comprehensive audits aiming for clean results, promote strong internal control structures, and ensure conformity with GAAP. Review operational procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Manage and train direct reports to maximize departmental productivity and efficiency. Handle accurate allowance for loan loss calculations, timely payroll preparation, and manage the Accounting Department budget.
Essential Skills
Accounting software proficiency
Experience in billing, financial statements, and general ledger management
Proficiency in cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable
ATM balancing
Budgeting and tax compliance expertise
Inventory accounting and revenue recognition
Strong analytical skills
Knowledge of loan loss and control policies
Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and annual corporate tax returns
Nice To Have
Experience in managing and training accounting teams
Strong leadership and organizational skills

This is a fully on-site position in San Jose, California.
Work Environment
Onsite with potential option to work from home one day or finish work half day.
