Adecco US, Inc. Tax Senior Manager (International) Hybrid - San Jose in San Jose, California

A prominent western U.S. accounting and consulting firm, established in 1959, is renowned for its expertise and excellence. It offers a wide range of services with industry specializations, emphasizing client service, professional growth, and technological advancement. The firm is currently hiring a hybrid International Tax Senior Manager for its San Jose location.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in discipline or industry.

  • Assume full responsibility for larger tax returns, delegating to various tax preparers as necessary.

  • Manage client service responsibility for direct clients or those delegated from the Partner.

  • Delegate and manage governmental tax examinations; represent clients before the appropriate taxing authorities.

  • Develop and train staff by assisting in recruiting, performance evaluations, creating training aids, and instructing professional development programs.

  • Ensure smooth flow of tax returns through the tax preparation system for accurate, complete, and timely preparation and delivery.

  • Ensure accurate and timely billing and collection processes.

  • Prepare additional reports and projects as requested by partners.

  • Research and evaluate tax preparation and tax research software for partner recommendations.

  • Participate in firm practice development efforts through involvement with referral sources, community, and industry activities.

Qualifications:

  • Review corporate income tax provision calculations.

  • Experience with multi-national corporate tax returns.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of current tax laws.

  • Proficiency in using computer tax preparation, tax research, and tax planning software programs.

  • Occasional overtime work required throughout the year, with heavy overtime from January 1 to April 15, potentially exceeding 55 hours per week.

  • Seven to ten years of full-time experience in tax compliance within public accounting, with exposure to international tax forms (e.g., forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, 8621, 1116).

  • At least two years' experience representing clients before taxing authorities.

  • Minimum one year of experience supervising and directing work of tax preparers.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required; master's degree in taxation preferred.

  • Minimum of forty hours of continuing education required each year to maintain and develop technical and business skills.

  • Current and valid certified public accountant's license required.

  • Must be a member in good standing with the American Institute of CPAs.

Pay Details: $184,000.00 to $197,000.00 per year
