Eaton Corporation GTM Import & Export Supervisor in San Luis Potosi, Mexico

Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a GTM Import & Export Supervisor.

What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The major role is to Manage all Import & Export, foreign & virtual operations, comply with the Mexican & International trade laws. Covering direct material, Fixed Assets, scrap, indirect material; and all types of operations.

This position is responsible for ensuring that all operations are in compliance with all the Mexican customs and International regulations regarding import and export of material, information and technology, with roughly Customs Value of $1.8 BUSD of Imports, Export and Virtual Operations, through Eaton Truck.

Responsible for maintaining compliance documents to reflect current regulatory requirements and procedures to monitor all the obligations to keep certifications such Maquila program, VAT Certification, and all Trade Certifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

a) Ensure compliance all Import & Export foreign Operations, preparing the proper documents, through the Maquila Softwate -Vastera,

b) Working in conjunction with Logistics department and Customs Brokers.

c) Performance Special Import & Export Operations: V1, V5, F4, F5, A3.

d) Ensure the data integrity of Trade Compliance processes.

e) Ensure the data integrity in Vastera through weekly and monthly validations.

f) Supporting the Inventory reconciliation between Annex 24 and ERP Oracle

g) Make sure that all adjustments in annex 24 by Customs Operations such as A3 or F4 are performed and paid on time.

h) Develop policies & procedure of Trade Operations.

i) Management the trade documents for the Fixed Assets..

j) Comply with all recordkeeping requirements of operations performed by adjustments.

k) Support to ensure the full compliance with New Customs Regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classifications USA/ Mexico, Free trade agreements, etc.

l) Monitor the import/export of raw materials, finished goods, equipment, scrap, non-productive material, excess and obsolete (E&O) operation on a monthly basis.

m) Achieve metrics and goals related to Trade Compliance

n) Support with information for Government reports: IMMEX, PROSEC, INEGI, Submaquila Cost Submission.

o) Support internal & external customs audits, i.e. SAT, CBP, Peer Reviews, Customs firms, Quality Systems, etc.

p) Comply with all Eaton Training program.

q) Active participation and supporting all Eaton Certifications as: OEA, CTPAT, MESH, Industria Limpia, etc.

r) Promotes the company’s mission by actively supporting Eaton’s safety and values as well as quality policies.

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE A.

A. Degree qualification in foreign trade or related discipline

B. 3-4 years in Import-Export Operations, company similar in dimensions as Eaton.

C. IMMEX knowledge, automotive preferred.

D. Knowledge in Mexican & US Customs procedures and compliance

E. Maquila Software Knowledge

F. Knowledge of MRP / ERP system as a plus

G.Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel audit formulas).

H.NAFTA, C-TPAT, Economic Authorized Operator Certifications

I. Mexican programs to reduce duties as PROSEC, Rule 8
