Unit Description
SodexoMAGIC is seeking a Staff Accountant for San Ramon Valley Conference Center in San Ramon, California.
This is an ON-SITE position

The Staff Accountant will provide support for all financial aspects which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, budget, forecasting, financial reporting, trend analysis, and inventory analysis. The candidate will also ensure financial compliance and make recommendations to Area Controller for improvements and perform in unit audits for multiple accounts.
The successful candidate will:
manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting
conduct monthly analysis of financial performance of clients or contracts assigned
conduct client or contract-specific reporting and analysis
conduct ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed

have month end closing expertise
know how to prepare financial reports for our clients
demonstrate strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, modeling) required and willing to learn new software
succeed in a team environment while supervising a small team
have strong finance knowledge, as well as strong research and analytical skills
adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
demonstrate excellent organizational skills
can manage competing priorities and deadlines

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement – Associate'sDegree or equivalent experience
Basic Functional Experience – 2 years in accounting, finance or a related field
