Job Details Job Location Sandusky International - Sandusky, OH Description GENERAL SUMMARY: Plan and perform operations to diagnose and repair various systems including maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems (Heat Treat Furnaces, Foundry process equipment, Hydraulic presses, CNC machines, etc.). Perform preventative maintenance, machine re-build, fabrication, and welding. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Trouble-shoot equipment, machine and system problems, diagnosing the problem and communicating anticipated repairs including time and cost estimates to operating department. Working from hydraulic, structural or electrical drawings or specifications, perform repair and rebuilding operations on complicated equipment, machines and systems. Includes disassembly, inspection, repair and replacement of parts, fitting of bearings and bushings, alignment, etc. Use precision measuring equipment as required. Plan and perform operations to rig and move machines and equipment. Position, align, level and secure to foundation. Perform preparation, application, and finishing of precise, uniform, and sound welds for repair, fabrication, and finished product. Perform operations to maintain hydraulic, air, gas, water and ventilation systems, power transmission equipment, overhead cranes and hoists. Perform other general maintenance functions related to repair and maintenance of buildings, machines and equipment. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma/Equivalent Progressive experience in related work and job duties 1-3 years of trades training PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program Working knowledge/understanding of shop mathematics, complicated and involved drawings, specifications, formulas and a wide variety of precision measuring instruments We are an Equal Opportunity Employer
