Robert Half Business Intelligence Developer in Sandy Springs, Georgia
Description We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our team in Sandy Springs, Georgia. This role focuses on designing and developing ETL jobs, optimizing ETL and reporting processes, and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models, among other responsibilities. This position is within the telecom industry, offering an exciting opportunity for those with a keen interest in Analytics and Business Intelligence Technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop ETL jobs to extract data using various sources such as webservice, flat files, SQL Databases, and APIs.
• Implement best practices for data requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing daily loads.
• Understand BI Modelling concepts like Start Schema, Snowflake Schema, and others.
• Monitor jobs and optimize ETL and reporting processes around Data Warehouse, Data Mart, and Staging areas.
• Participate in problem identification, requirements gathering, and documentation, as well as system design activities.
• Use database replication/synchronization techniques.
• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet requirements and strategies.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight project schedules with minimal supervision.
• Document changes and system configuration.
• Possess technical knowledge of network and server operating systems and a strong proficiency in an Enterprise Database management system, including Microsoft SQL Server.
• Have knowledge of Sales, Finance, and Procurement processes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer or similar role in the field
• Proven expertise in BusinessObjects Technologies
• Familiarity with Cognos Business Intelligence
• Proficiency in handling and managing databases
• Experience with EO/IR systems
• Knowledge of MicroStrategy Development
• Experience in conducting AB Testing
• Strong skills in Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI)
• Proficiency in Business Intelligence Technologies
• Ability to create and manage Business Requirement Documents
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with diverse groups
