Role reports to: Sr Manager Trade Operations

Location: Sao Jose dos Campos

What you will do

The Trade Operations Coordinator is responsible for leading a spend category/subcategory, identifying lowest cost sources of supply, conducting supplier performance reviews, and fostering successful innovation initiatives with suppliers. They also conduct logistics process design and improvement, guide contract negotiations, and track compliance to cost savings initiatives:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement efficient trade operations procedures and processes

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate trade settlements

  • Monitor and analyze trade activities to identify potential risks and opportunities

  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices

  • Lead and manage the Trade Compliance operations and import/export process optimization

  • Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction and sourcing of commodities

  • Ensure effective integration of global trade compliance processes and standards

  • Represent the company with local government agencies regarding compliance policies

  • Drive process excellence to have seamless inbound import operations from sourcing site to DC

  • Conduct market analyses and monitor competitive activity to identify and recommend appropriate tactics

  • Customize and refine programs and tools to capture additional market share

  • Coach, guide and develop talent to ensure the development of a high performing team

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of related experience in Trade Compliance operations

  • University/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge in customs regulations, including valuation, classification, and special trade programs

  • Process-oriented mindset and able to manage complexity and change

  • Track record in influencing a diverse range of stakeholders to shape a desired outcome

  • Customer-oriented and proactive attitude

  • Strategic thinking ability

  • Demonstrated skill in influencing and collaboration within and across organizations

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the end-to-end supply chain

  • Strong project management competencies and experience

  • Financial acumen, understanding cost categorization within P&L

  • Knowledge of SAP and advanced Trade Compliance/GTOM automation tools

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and trade operations software
