Paychex PEO Workers Compensation Underwriting Coordinator in Sarasota, Florida

Overview

Using specific workers compensation insurance knowledge, provide data analysis, auditing, information gathering, tracking, reporting, and inquiry resolution for the PEO workers' compensation underwriting team, work comp vendor partners, and field service HRS support staff.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, assigns, tracks and follows up on all AIG monthly audit requests to ensure all items are responded to in a timely and accurate fashion.

  • Reviews, assigns, tracks and follows up on all Safety & Loss audit requests to ensure all items are resolved and closed in a timely fashion.

  • Investigates, resolves and responds to specific requests from state workers compensation departments in a timely and accurate fashion to avoid fines and penalties.

  • Generates and distributes Workers Compensation Loss runs to clients, field service personnel and PEO partners to fulfill requests for this information.

  • Maintains, prepares, and presents a variety of Workers’ Compensation reports to provide underwriters, PEO management, and PEO vendor partners with key metrics for business unit analysis.

  • Audits PEO client employee job titles and statement of duties. Requests missing information from field service staff and/or PEO partners and updates internal systems to ensure complete and accurate information on all PEO employees. Manages new policy or class code requests received from field service, updates systems, and notifies appropriate PEO departments to ensure accurate and complete information is maintained.

  • Coordinates special projects within the Workers Compensation department to ensure the project is completed successfully. Provides support services, tracking, and reporting to keep the project on track.

  • Generates and distributes Workers Compensation Verifications of Coverage and Experience Modification Letter requests to clients, field service personnel and PEO partners to fulfill requests for this information.

  • Reviews PEO client employee workers compensation classification codes for accuracy and elevates potential misclassifications with recommendations to Underwriters to ensure proper coding is achieved.

  • Researches, updates, provides input, and maintains written policies & procedures to ensure accurate data, resource information, and workflows are available to all PEO Workers Compensation team members.

  • Other duties as assigned to support the general purpose of the position’s function.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma - Required

  • Associate's Degree - Preferred

  • 4 years of experience in Administrative skills experience in a high paced business environment.

  • Workers Compensation and PEO experience.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $17.60 - $26.00 hourly. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
