Description Acara solutions is looking for Horizontal Machinists to work with out partner located out in Sauk Rapids, MN. Here is what you will get: Pay Rate: $18.50 - $38/hr depending on experience +10% differential for 2nd shift Shifts: 1st shift (5a-3p M-Th) & 2nd shift (3pm-1am M-Th) Here is what you will do: Perform complex set up and operate mill, lathe and/or router to machine flat and formed parts to inch and metric specifications Read and interpret engineering drawings o Measure and verify dimensions using inspection tooling Perform deburring of parts Maintain logs and other necessary documents o Complete routing and process planning as necessary Design or assist in the design of tooling and fixtures o Set up CNC machine loading programs, tools, fixtures and setting tool offsets Act as a technical resource Perform 1st Article of Inspection May oversee the work of others o Work independently with minimal supervision Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Minimum 4 years manufacturing or related work experience A.A. degree or a High school diploma/GED with relevant experience Excellent troubleshooting skills o Knowledge of various cutting tools Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings in inch and metric units and BOMs Strong understanding of related mechanics, flow control elements and MRP concepts Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity. Strong verbal and written communication skills o Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
