Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Technology, Quality Management or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 18 months experience in a manufacturing engineering or quality related organization or 1 year with Masters. 1 year Solumina experience or similar ERP/MES/OPM in an Aerospace Industry.
Position Purpose:
Perform work related to evaluating, configuring, documenting, deploying, maintaining, upgrading, training and troubleshooting ERP, Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or Operations Process Management (OPM) software systems, along with all other interfaced and integrated software applications and associated business processes.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Under minimal supervision, assist in defining data and system requirements, developing interface and integration requirements, and authoring requirements documents, conceptual design documents, and business process maps.
Collaborate with technical resources regarding application concepts and designs that meet user and business needs. .
Assist in authoring acceptance test plans and conducting testing of new/revised functionality and software upgrades.
Assist users as needed to respond to questions, provide ad hoc education, and assist in reporting technical issues to BT.
Assist in authoring user manuals, specific to the manufacturing software application and associated interfaces.
Assist in developing training curriculum, training materials, workshop exercises, and conduct user training when required.
Participate as a team member in the implementation of software upgrades, enhancements and new functionality.
Assist in oversight and enforcement of all applicable software security guidelines. .
Participate as a Team Member in data management, mining and governance activities within ERP, MES, or OPM systems.
Participate as a Team Member in the creation and maintenance of documented business processes and procedures.
Utilize lean principles in the development of future processes to ensure effective and efficient business performance.
Additional Functions:
- Ensure software applications and processes implemented are compliant with internal/external regulatory requirements. .
Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
Proven computer literacy with specific skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and MS Project.
Must have good interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and possess a solid understanding of engineering / manufacturing / quality data requirements and design tools.
Ability to deal independently with database experts, users and others, in a professional and diplomatic manner.
Working knowledge of lean principles, design, manufacturing, and quality engineering applications and processes.
