Your responsibilities

To strengthen our team we are looking for an experienced Reliability Engineer (m/f/d) for the evaluation and qualification of BEoL (back-end-of-line metallization) reliability. You will be working in an interdisciplinary team, located in Dresden Germany and your detailed responsibilities will be:

  • Actively support the development and qualification of new manufacturing processes for integrated metallization and monitoring of ongoing production with corresponding reliability studies

  • Planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of reliability experiments, failure analysis and definition of any necessary corrective action

  • Product maintenance support with reliability guidance, monitoring and assessments

  • Definition and validation of design rules and reliability calculators (PDK support)

  • Guide customer and IP vendors to reliability conforming design and layout

  • Development of new methodologies owned jointly with reliability specialists in global teams

  • Cooperate with process integration and process owners from different production units and evaluation of the results in international teams.

    Required Qualifications

  • PhD or Master/Diploma in physics, electrical engineering, materials science or cognate disciplines

  • Experience in the field of semiconductor industry and good knowledge of integrated metallization fabrication

  • Experience in the field of reliability physics and engineering (design, testing and assessment, design rules) with focus on TDDB, EM, SM (SIV) and passive device degradation is highly appreciated

  • You have solid knowledge of statistics and probability

  • You are characterized by high assertiveness and for arguing your technical expertise to internal and external customers

  • You can quickly get used to new situations, you are characterized by determination and strength of communication, grasp complex areas quickly and you have an ability to work independently

  • For this position, professional handling of statistic programs (such as MINITAB, Origin, etc) and MS Office package are necessary. Fundamental programming experience is welcome

  • Very good English and intercultural communication skills are required
