Nestle Electrician (3rd Shift) in Schaumburg, Illinois

Position Overview:

Nestle USA is seeking a motivated Electrician to join our team in Schaumburg, IL for 3rd shift. This role is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and controls throughout the factory. Our Electricians directly contribute to the production of household pizza brands known and loved by American families.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:

  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems or components according to CMMS.

  • Performs panel and electrical grid upgrades, inspections, and tests equipment as needed.

  • Generates, updates, and oversees electrical layout drawings for projects.

  • Oversees and updates electrical installations and schematics.

  • Ensures all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are followed and the highest standards for quality, safety, and compliance are promoted.

  • Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Trade School diploma/certificate in industrial maintenance, electrical, or related field preferred

  • Ability to work overtime, irregular hours, holidays, or rotating shifts required

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical components and controls as well as electrical troubleshooting skills

  • Previous experience with 480V

  • Previous food manufacturing experience is preferred

  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English; Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred

  • Ability to use test tools (volt meters, amp probes, etc.)

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, formulas, and policy and procedures manuals
