Shift Packaging Line Lead - 2nd Shift – Full Time

Seeking a motivated Shift Packaging Line Lead to join our team. Responsible for overseeing and completing sanitation processes in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:

  • 2nd shift Sunday-Saturday 6 day work week; must be willing to work weekends.

  • Starting hourly pay of $24.17, plus shift differential.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:

• Monitors daily activities of Topping Packaging employees.

• Assists in the training of Topping Packaging employees.

• Ensures that all necessary equipment needed for the next production run is ready, clean, and in working order prior to the start of that product.

• Notifies supervisor or maintenance department when repairs or adjustments are beyond the scope of his or her expertise.

• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

• Suggests changes in the working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department, line or team.

• Observes production operations and inspects product to verify conformance to specifications.

• Observes production order to ascertain pre-production machine set up and testing, type and quantity of packaging to be used and other packaging requirements.

• Starts, adjusts, and operates packaging machinery and notifies the Supervisor or Maintenance department when repairs or adjustments are beyond the scope of his or her expertise.

• Inspects pizzas prior to packaging by counting, recording, and measuring against the standard.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work overtime, irregular hours, or rotating shifts, required.

  • One to three months of food manufacturing or packaging experience., preferred.

  • High School Diploma/GED, preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to do heavy lifting in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Ability to do basic math and use calculators.

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety documents, operating instructions, and manuals.

  • Speak, write, and understand English.
