Job Title: Lab Coordinator Manager

Location: North Scottsdale, AZ (near East Bell Road and the 101)

Compensation: Dependent on Experience

Employment Type: Full Time with Benefits (Medical, Life, Dental, Vision, 401K, and PTO)

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No nights, no weekends, and no major holidays!

Position Overview:

The Lab Coordinator Manager is responsible for overseeing the logistic and administrative responsibilities of the lab department and collaborating with internal and external departments, phlebotomists, and lab processing facilities. This position works hand in hand with the Lab Coordinators to evaluate the current process for opportunities to improve and holds team members accountable for high-level accuracy, provides impeccable customer service, creates departmental metrics, and reports, and encourages a positive team-centric environment.

Essential Functions:

· Manage day to day administrative and logistical functions of the lab department

· Collaboration with internal and external departments, lab vendors, lab processing facilities, and phlebotomist

· Responsible for leading the team with integrity and professionalism while consistently upholding company standards and goals

· Proactively consider organization, obstacles, and opportunities for improved lab logistics and patient care

· Adapt, prioritize, and implement as consistent changes in processes or additional lab options are implemented

· Develop relationship with external lab vendors and have an in depth understanding of every lab test and its requirements, processing, and billing.

· Conduct regular one on ones and team meetings to ensure communication is consistent, clear, and intentional

· Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, developing, coaching, evaluating, conflict resolution and holding team members accountable

· Be able and willing to step in and support team members as needed

· Must be able to make quick and accurate decisions to handle patient issues with the utmost care

· Develop the lab department and team members for anticipated future growth of the company

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelors or Master’s degree in a Business or Healthcare related field

· 2+ years of relevant leadership experience

· Must have the ability to work closely and effectively with others in a team-oriented environment

· Strong attention to detail

· Must be flexible, friendly, engaging, and proactive

· Ability to multi-mask and meet deadlines with little supervision

· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced working environment with a sense of urgency and attention to detail

· Must have positive attitude in addition to having leadership skills and abilities

· Must be able to think “outside the box” for problem solving moments or situations

· Must be able to adhere to organization policies and procedures

· Must have exceptional communication skills and ability to think critically through operations and logistics to overcome obstacles

· Demonstrate leadership through follow-through, detail orientation, logistic design, consistent communication, effective listening, and positive relationships

· Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills through humility, teamwork, and a desire to realize the potential of employees and support growth

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in healthcare

· Phlebotomy experience a plus

· Knowledge in insurance billing

· Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA requirements
