Insight Global Radiology Technologist in Scottsdale, Arizona

Job Description

Position Purpose: Perform x-rays for diagnostic purposes in an outpatient surgery center. Follow established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.

Working Relations:

  • Position reports to: Director of Nursing

  • As a representative of our outpatient surgery center, interactions with patients, families, physicians, referral sources, and other stakeholders must be friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior promotes teamwork consistent with facility standards and guidelines.

Competencies:

  1. Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements, and regulations

  2. Familiarity with radiologic safety, cleanliness, and infection control policies

  3. Understanding of radiologic equipment use and maintenance

  4. Accuracy: Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

  5. Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills

  6. Computer Skills: Proficient use of computers

  7. Detail Oriented: Ability to pay attention to minute details

  8. Customer Service Oriented: Friendly, cheerful, and helpful to patients and others

  10. Teamwork: Collaboration with co-workers

  11. Working under pressure: Ability to complete assigned work under stressful situations

Essential Functions:

  1. Prepares patients for radiologic procedures

  2. Ensures patient care, safety, and comfort during procedures

  3. Operates radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body

  4. Positions radiologic equipment and adjusts controls according to examination specifications

  5. Takes x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations

  6. Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices

  7. Ensures radiologic equipment remains in working order and reports malfunctions

  8. Performs related administrative duties (forms, labeling, procedure logs)

  9. Maintains protective lead aprons and collars

  10. Performs other assigned duties

  2. Attends unit-based staff meetings and participates in training and development workshops

  3. Adheres to dress and appearance standards

  4. Keeps work area and equipment pristine

  2. Attends required safety training

Skills and Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification within 30 days of employment

  • Minimum education: Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology program or US military Radiography training

Current American Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and Certified Radiology Tech (CRT)
