42ND PLACE LIQUOR, LLC Line Cook in Sea Isle City, New Jersey

Shorebreak Resorts (42nd Place Liquor LLC) has 8 temporary full-time Line Cook openings in Sea Isle City, NJ from 05/01/2024 to 11/01/2024.

Prepare ingredients, cook, and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes for brunch, lunch, and dinner including entrees, desserts, and pastries. Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within forecasted range. Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at workstation and meeting prep times to ensure smooth delivery. Set up and clean station according to restaurant protocol. Maintain clean workstation area including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves. Comply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards.

40 hrs/wk at $19/hr; O/T as needed at $28.50/hr; shifts may vary: 6AM-2PM; variable shifts over 7 days a week. A single workweek is used to compute wages due. Any deductions required by law made from biweekly paycheck. Optional deductions include: housing fee of $50/week. Raises/bonuses may be offered to any worker based on performance, skill, tenure. Req. no minimum education. 3 mos of exp. as Line Cook at hospitality setting required. Pass pre-employment police clearance; able to communicate in English; post-employment drug testing. Employer requires pre-employment police clearance and post-employment drug testing to be carried out equally between the U.S. workers and the H-2B workers.

H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Offer to US workers same as H-2B workers. Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies & equipment req'd to perform job. On-the-job training will be provided. Transportation will be provided by the Resort between housing and the worksite in compliance with all applicable Federal, States and local laws and regulations.

If worker completes 50% of employment contract pd, employer will reimburse worker for transportation & subsistence (T&S) from place of recruit. to place of work. Upon completion of work contract/where worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide/pay worker's reasonable costs of return T&S back home/to the place worker originally departed to work, except where worker will not return due to subsequent employment w/ another employer. Amount of transportation payment/reimbursement will be equal to most economical & reasonable common carrier for distances involved.

Daily subsistence will be at least $15.88/day during travel to a maximum of $59/day with receipts. Return transportation will be provided if worker completes employment pd/is dismissed early by employer. Employer will arrange workers T&S directly in advance at min., most economical & reasonable common carrier cost of T&S to worker before start date of employment.
