This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines Business Unit (Blue Engines), where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight. Our engines products are being developed to support affordable, low-cost access to space. Blue Engines provides propulsion for Blue Origin vehicle programs along with external customer launch vehicles. As part of a passionate and growing team of experts within Blue Engines, you will have a dual-focus role: You will be responsible for providing both technical and programmatic leadership for your assigned elements of product development/production/flight support scope, as well as support the development and robust implementation of Blue Engines tools and processes used to manage programs. This tool & process suite covers the overall resource, schedule, and technical/scope management rigor required for development and production, managing upgrades/ improvements, ensuring qualification for flight and supporting our commercial operations. With continued growth in the business unit, you will be expected to help manage business operating change; provide mentoring to less senior Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads; and work as an integral part of the BU leadership team to support growth of the future organization. As part of the team, you will contribute directly and significantly to the team's impact on the future of human space exploration. This position will be a direct-line report to the Blue Engines Program Management Office leader, and a dotted-line report to the Program Manager for the program(s) for which you have IPT Lead authority. This position will require your dedication and detailed attention towards cost-managed, safe and repeatable spaceflight! Responsibilities: Report directly to the Blue Engines Program Management Office leader and report dotted-line to the Program Manager for the program(s) for which you have assigned IPT Lead authority & responsibility. Actively engage in the IPT Lead role to both understand and execute using Blue Engines program-aligned tools and processes, and actively use this learning to drive improvements to the tool & process suite utilized within Blue Engines. In the Sr. IPT Lead element of the role: Own program planning & execution of assigned scope including scope definition, scheduling, resource planning/ allocation and delivery of scope within assigned budget and schedule constraints while ensuring priority to quality and safety Lead the cross functional team to achieve the assigned scope by providing programmatic leadership by establishing and maintaining regular business rhythm, consisten
