Amazon Principal Product Manager - Technical, Selling Partner Developer Services in Seattle, Washington

Selling Partner Dev Services team is looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager-Technical. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver a world-class product and own the worldwide end to end user experience and UX strategy, define success for our customers, manage the lifecycle for both Selling Partner and Developer customers, and set up the product portfolio for sustainable growth and impact. This role has direct impact on hundreds of thousands of Selling Partners and the tools they use to grow their business.

As Principal Product Manager-Technical, you will develop new services, products, and programs for Sellers on Amazon and the Partners that support them, working with product, design, and tech organizations across the Consumer organization.

Your responsibilities will include leading the product development lifecycle. You’ll use data and partner feedback to inform the evolution of our products and services, measure the impact of our launches, and create growth opportunities. You will work cross-functionally with product management, operations, and internal teams to market, develop, and grow business opportunities, and enhance our customer experience globally.

The ideal candidate will have a consistent track record taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, including the use of data to define outcome measures and success criteria to optimize the user experience and drive engagement. She/he should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build compelling value propositions and influence stakeholders via strong written and verbal communication.

• Define and drive the multi-year vision for your product portfolio and the team

• Lead strategic planning to achieve technical and business goals.

• Work with most senior leaders across Amazon Stores, as well as science, engineering, and finance leaders.

• Deliver 3 Year Vision, and Business Requirement Documents.

• Own end-to-end product lifecycle and deliver long-lasting solutions.

• Influence priorities and business strategy through quantitative and qualitative contributions.

• Interact directly with stakeholders and users to continuously improve products and programs.

• Define clear goals and objectives for the business in the planning and execution space while identifying risks and strategizing mitigation plans.

• Mentor other product managers and continuously raise the technical product management bar.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience technical product management

  • 10+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in project management methodologies and managing senior stakeholders’ expectations

  • Sharp analytical abilities, comfortable with advanced SQL and basic Python

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Economics, Mathematics or related field

  • A track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional technical projects that have been successfully delivered to customers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
