Blue Origin LLC Production Fluid Systems Engineer III - New Glenn in Seattle, Washington

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-liftorbital launch vehicle capable ofroutinelycarrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar,and beyond.Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designedfrom the beginningto be human-capable. As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will directly support the production and integration teams for the next generation of launch vehicles. You will be responsible helping the production and integration teams produce higher quality vehicles and improving their rate of production. You will be expected to work closely with the design engineering and manufacturing teams providing embedded support within the manufacturing and production areas to address emergent issues, provide guidance and drive improvements. This will include leading design and manufacturing improvements, processing non-conforming hardware and writing technical reports. Qualifications Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering discipline (aerospace, mechanical, chemical or physics desired) 3+ Experience building and installing fluid systems and/or components. Experience working in an AS9100/ISO9100 manufacturing environment. Computer aided design (CAD) experience Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Discrepant hardware processing experience Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications: M.S. in engineering discipline or higher Manufacturing trending, process mapping/optimization experience Strong knowledge of DFM principles and practical application. 2+ Years experience authoring and maintaining work orders related to the manufacture of aerospace hardware. 2+ Years working in a manufacturing environment ERP system such as SAP. Experience with Creo (Pro/E) Wildfire 5 or greater, Windchill 10 Knowledge of fluid systems design for cryogenics, liquid and pneumatic system. Working knowledge of common fluid system components such as valves, regulators, 37 flared fittings, flanges etc. Experience planning and executing large scale assemblies with over 1000 unique parts Ability to work closely with technicians on the manufacturing floor and provide real time feedback and instruction on integration processes.
