Overview Will consider candidates near other TRC offices (https://www.trccompanies.com/offices/) TRC's Advanced Energy Research & Consulting team provides research, analysis, and strategic consulting services in the clean energy/energy efficiency space for some of the largest utilities and state/local governments in the country. We are purpose-driven team, helping our clients successfully navigate the transition to a clean energy economy. We advise them on business strategies related to energy efficiency, distributed energy resources, decarbonization, new and emerging market opportunities, and successful customer engagement, helping them to carve out a path toward the utility of the future. The Project Manager role involves managing medium to large-scale research projects of various complexities, day-to-day project operations, project documentation, and project reporting. You will work closely with the project management and delivery teams to assist in creating project plans, managing budgets, and reporting project conditions/status. As a Project Manager, you will report to the PMO (Project Management Office) Team Lead and will be working closely with cross-functional teams of Subject Matter Experts, Economists, Engineers, Researchers, and Analysts in a distributed environment. The primary measurements of success will center on successful management of assigned projects (on time/on budget), practical documentation, collaboration, proactive communication, and your ability to leverage project and financial management systems of record and reporting solutions. The position involves frequent interaction with internal stakeholders, and occasional interaction with external stakeholders. The position requires the ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with team members of varied backgrounds. This position requires flexibility; strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; and excellent organizational and customer care skills. Lead small project teams in successful execution of assigned projects, acting as a project advocate and point of communication. Support project resource management, including ensuring adequate resources are assigned to the project, monitoring and reporting of labor hours against budget, and managing subcontractors. Support project financial management Ensure the project's budgeted costs and profits are met or improved. Ensure timely and comprehensive change order management.
