Part-time, 60% FTE (24 hours per week)
2 days at SLU and 1 day at Shoreline
Expected to travel to all 4 OBGYN clinics, as needed

Opportunity to provide career growthThe Registered Nurse 2 is responsible for triaging incoming patient calls, TE’s in Clinical Pool and walk-in patients, assessing needs, giving appropriate clinical options and facilitating requests to primary care providers, specialists, health care facilities and community resources. The registered nurse functions as a part of an interdisciplinary team in providing healthcare and patient education when appropriate, regarding immediate care advice and preventative health behaviors for patients seeking care. This individual supports managing complex patients by implementing treatment plans and facilitating patient’s access to appropriate health care services and community resources. POSITION DESCRIPTION The OBGYN RN offers compassionate clinical care and evidence-based-practices through the continuum of care for our patients receiving obstetric and gynecological specialty services. RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare patients for examination and treatment by rooming patient, taking vitals, recording patient history, obtain the chief complaint, and update significant changes in the patient history, for example recent hospitalization and emergency department visits
Observes and documents the patient’s condition and vital signs into the electronic medical record
Applies professional skills and knowledge of established concepts, principles, and practice to provide care coordination to UWNC patients
Under the direction of Physician or Advanced Practice Clinician, administers vaccines, and medications IV, PO, IM, SQ, Draws blood and processes specimens for offsite lab testing
Communicates plan of care in a timely manner to provider, patient, and family to establish mutual goals
Assesses patients/families’ knowledge, learning needs, readiness, and comprehension abilities
Performs telephone and face to face triage or gives health information using approved protocols and materials
Applies nursing best practices to identify and prioritize healthcare triage interventions that are appropriate, effective and that reduce the risk of adverse outcomes
Answers calls in a timely manner, follows policy to document call inquiries, maintains confidentiality of all caller and personnel issues, and transcribes patient information electronically and through telemedicine digital technology REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 4 years RN experience
Required 2 years L&D experience
Prior ambulatory experience preferred
Prior GYN experience preferred
