Amazon Senior Financial Analyst in Seattle, Washington

The Trustworthy Shopping Experience (TSE) team ensures all our customers, worldwide, have a worry-free shopping experience. To continually raise the bar on that experience, the TSE team builds tools and programs to identify and then mitigate or prevent compliance, selling partner, or product risk.

We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who can build scalable reporting while learning about the business. This role drives financial insights, identifies opportunities and develops new frameworks to evaluate impact. This role works across multiple stakeholders to build reporting and develop simplified reporting mechanism.

Key job responsibilities

  • Reporting metrics and analysis to drive insights

  • Connecting business actions to finance outcomes

  • Simplifying processes to increase value for customers

  • Building reports and deep diving into data

  • Experimenting quickly and finding what works and what doesn’t

  • Managing headcount and operating expenses

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Six Sigma Black Belt

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
