The Michael G. Foster School of Business has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Program Manager to join their team. POSITION PURPOSE

The primary purpose of this position is to take on more leadership role within the Executive Education office, especially with key program accounts and development of new accounts. By doing so, it will allow the Director and Associate Director to focus more on critical initiatives focused on growth strategies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position requires an elevated level of complex responsibilities, in addition to all other responsibilities related to program management.

(40%) - Manage key programs including new programs with contract negotiation as well as seamless execution. A large part of Executive Education revenues derives from programs developed with new partners and clients each year. This position will require involvement from the early stages of program development, alongside Associate Dean and/or Director, and will play a critical role not only in taking key ownership of the program from beginning to the end, but also maintaining, building, and strengthening the relationship with the client contacts to help ensure continued businesses.

(30%) - Manage and cultivate relationships with custom clients to represent Executive Education and the partnership with select ongoing programs, including sharing ideas on curriculum design. By taking on this responsibility, it alleviates time spent by the Associate Dean and Director, allowing them to focus more on other key responsibilities. When clients have an exceptional educational experience, not only do they return year after year, but also refer other businesses which impacts the overall contribution to the Foster School.

(20%) - Oversee Program Manager(s) and student assistants operations by taking on a role of subject matter expert. Program managers are focused on the day to day operations, but as senior program manager, this position would take on additional roles that require more specific knowledge and skillsets to problem-solve; handle difficult situations diplomatically, understand cultural sensitivity with clients from different countries and address issues in a professional and culturally expected manner. In addition, this position will support program managers as needed with help with coverage during long days; work closely with board members; take on new initiatives that may help improve program processes, raise our reputational visibility, contribution to the School; or other duties as assigned.

(10%) - Take on new initiatives and work on special projects and other duties as assigned.

Lead Responsibilities:

This position will work closely with the Director and Associate Director of Executive Education to deliver executive education programs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Train on the development cycle of new programs. Help to bring on-board to cultivate client relationship. Support as needed on program operational management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Education, Business Administration or related studies required.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants must have exceptional organizational skills and must have excellent writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint. • The ability to make decisions independently with a minimum of supervision and to work successfully with individuals from diverse organizations and backgrounds is required. • Must also be able to function independently and as a team member. • Must have a minimum of four to five years of progressively more challenging work experience, preferably in business or adult education. • Must be able to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends) as required during programs.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Project management and/or special events planning experience. • 5 or more years of progressively more challenging work experience. • Public speaking experience and comfort. • Experience working with international clients. • Database experience. • Two to three years of experience working with international clients.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

This is an in-person role, Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with ability to work a flexible schedule when needed.
