Zillow, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer for its Seattle, Washington office.
Job Duties: Responsible for developing software solutions that arm sellers with information and data to help them make the right decisions about selling their home. Solve complex user-centric problems, implement effective software solutions, and work as a technical leader. Write clean, performant and well-tested code while working on a dynamic team. Deliver and support software projects from end-to-end. Contribute to the technical design of new features. Implement technical solutions for software features. Review the code of peers. Telecommuting is permitted.
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience Requirements: Five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in each of the following:
- Designing and developing of large scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using Java and Object-Oriented Design
- Working with cloud services and platforms, data structures and algorithms, coding, unit testing, code review
Developing multiple microservices along with REST APIs to orchestrate different data streams
