AWS Applications and Higher Level Abstractions (Apps) provides horizontal and industry vertical applications for business users with the same on-demand scalability, reliability, pay-as-you-go pricing, and machine learning expertise that drive AWS services. The AWS Applications group includes services such as Amazon Connect (a cost-effective cloud contact center), our End User Computing (including Amazon Workspaces, AppStream, etc.), Marketing Tech (Amazon Pinpoint), and Autonomous Checkout and Identity Services (Just Walk Out, Amazon One) for retail, sports, travel, and other verticals.
The team: LIMO (Local Infrastructure and Managed Operations) is a new team with a vision to develop remote site networking, compute, and potentially other infrastructure products for use cases like retail outlets, branch offices, etc. The team is developing networking and compute products to provide customers with a managed service to reduce overhead and friction.
We are seeking an SDET who will work collaboratively with networking, software, firmware, and hardware engineers to develop effective and efficient test systems that ensure our products meeting our quality standards. If you enjoy understanding all the inner workings of a networking product so you can anticipate what can go wrong with it and create innovative ways to test it, this is the position for you.
Key job responsibilities
Build and maintain an automated test infrastructure for a multi-platform product that will be used to validate all aspects of the product operation.
Evaluate product functionality and create test strategies and test cases to assess product quality.
Integrate with Build infrastructure to establish a continuous build and test cycle.
Establish processes and tools set to maintain automation scripts and generate regular test reports.
Defining automation plan to support device software launches.
Lead automation efforts, and explore new test automation tools and methods.
Working directly with Developers, QA Engineers, Hardware Engineers, and Technical Program Managers to ensure quality of our products and platforms.

Basic Qualifications
2+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience
1+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment
Experience in platform-level security mitigations and hardening for Linux and Windows
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
