Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering, Principal Member Technical Staff in Seattle, WA:
Job Duties: Improve query performance through optimizations, caching, concurrency, and scaling. Develop new algorithms and techniques for improving the performance and interactivity of our multi-tenant service. Architect and design new technologies and features to support our fast-growing user base. Collaborate with cross-functional groups to build an innovative product. Develop novel query execution and optimization techniques for industry-leading performance. Contribute and build a new query pipeline to support graph database. Architect the query engine to fit into Tableau micro services ecosystem. Identify and design new optimization mechanisms to resolve the customer pain point. ˆ Above address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in the Seattle area: 744 N. 34th St. Seattle, WA 98103, 701 N. 34th St., Seattle, WA 98103, and 929 108th Ave, Bellevue, WA 98004. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in the Seattle area. Telecommuting is an option.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered OR Bachelor's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or five (5) years of experience in the job offered.
A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).
Special Skill Requirements: (1) C/C++; (2) Core Java; (3) VIM; (4) Eclipse; (5) VSCode; (6) Visual Studio; (7) Shell scripting; (8) Perl; (9) Git; and (10) IBM Rational ClearCase. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option.
Salary: $185,800.00 - $300,250.00 per annum.
