This role is a part of the Launch Operations Team within Test & Flight Operations Organization and is responsible for leading the transformation of Blue Origin's launch operations capabilities into an industry leading benchmark on how to launch heavy orbital launch systems predictably and efficiently at high volumes. As a senior leader on the Launch Operations leadership team, you will be accountable for developing, deploying, managing, and improving operating systems, structures, and processes core to enabling Launch Operations to go above and beyond related to recuring mission success and launch schedules. The complexity of this role comes from a requirement to create seamless alignment and teamwork across organizations, as well as remove roadblocks within and across product engineering, manufacturing, corporate services, and launch operations, spanning multiple locations across the United States. This position requires the ability to navigate complicated scenarios with grit, deep expertise in redefining sophisticated organizations, the ability to build strong customer relationships, quickly solve complex problems, and a drive for delivering breakthroughs in operational excellence. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design, Develop and Implement a management operating system (MoS) that is integrated with the New Glenn business unit's MoS, connects the lowest level of work to the highest level of leadership decision making and problem solving. The MoS is acknowledged as primary driver for managing Launch Operation's breakthrough in achieving operational excellence. Architect seamless alignment and strengthened relationships with New Glenn's program teams in Washington, the Rocket Factory manufacturing centers in Florida, and critical operations and corporate services located in various locations across the U.S. Enable the Launch Operations VP to scale their capacity and ability to lead the evolution of launch operations capability by acting as an empowered proxy in critical leadership forums and operations meetings. Transform Launch Operations operating model enabling the organization to launch heavy orbital launch vehicles are rate > 1 per month. This is an emerging capability that the organization has yet to actualize. Drive continuous improvement in organizational capacity, resource utilization, organizational health, improving throughput & speed, while lowering the cost of access to space. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in business, operations, engineering, or equivalent. Minimum of 15 years of proven experience leading sophisticated operational transformation across multiple industries resulting in demonstrated breakthroughs in operational excellence and business performance. A minimum of 5 years functioning at a senior level and has experience engaging with senior leaders facilitating decision making and roadblock removal, as well as the ability to work at the most detailed levels work in the organizations driving action and results with vitality. Has practical applications as a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and or a functioning Master Black Belt.
