If you're still reading, hopefully it is because you are as ridiculous as we are and want to help us find ways to entertain folks while also providing them new and fun ways of hunting for amazing deals on products at prices that perplex them in a positive way. We are looking for a creative, open-minded results-oriented product manager to help us deliver an incredible experience on mobile devices and on the desktop that is addictive, enjoyable, and occasionally productive by developing various shopping methods, shenanigans, and social interactions for customers to hang out with us every day.

If you're an experienced product manager bored of the norm who loves getting into the minds of unique customer segments, wants to own an entire experience across multiple properties, and also likes to get deep into the data to find ways of reaching these audience that no one else has thought of yet, we'd love to chat with you. You'll be working with all manner of folks from developers, to designers, marketers, vendor managers, data scientists, and so on from within both Woot! and the greater Amazon business. It'll be fun, it'll be an adventure, it'll be a roller coaster ride; and you'll be able to get a lot of stuff done fairly fast. You should be great at writing and verbal communications, and not afraid to ask tough questions and challenge the status quo.

Key job responsibilities

What you'll do:

  • Work with various folks internally to build, market, and manage the full product lifecycle of these experiences.

  • Look at data both internally and externally to find awesome ways of selling stuff, entertaining customers, and getting them to visit every day.

  • Create creative, unconventional, and addictive experiences for both shopping and time-wasting in our app and on our site.

  • Seek out new opportunities and ways to grow Woot's business. Yeah, we gotta make a buck too. It's a thing.

  • Identify and track metrics on how your initiatives are doing to various levels of Woot and Amazon leadership.

  • Evaluate partnership opportunities and recommend Build vs. Partner opportunities

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools

  • Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

  • MBA

  • Experience in evaluating Build vs. Partner decisions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
