VSEI Staff Field Thermal Engineer in Seattle, Washington
ZT Group Int'l Inc. dba ZT Systems seeks a Staff Field Thermal Engineer in Seattle, WA.
Duties: Meet with customers on a regular basis to discuss, conceptualize, and implement solutions to their thermal challenges. Work with the internal engineering team to optimize the thermal performance of servers using simulated and empirical data. Troubleshoot thermal and/or airflow issues in new and existing product lines. Optimize airflow speed, volume, and flow paths to meet customer and component requirements. Support thermal aspects of custom engineering products and/or proof of concepts. Analyze thermal test reports and ensure that results meet product requirements. Contribute thermal content to product system architecture specifications. Support procurement team to identify and manage third-party thermal vendors.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience as a Thermal Engineer, Staff Engineer, or related occupation.
The position requires any amount of experience, which can be gained through employment, internships, and/or education, with the following:
-Heat transfer and fluid mechanics;
-3D CAD software (SolidWorks or ProE);
-Commercial CFD software; and
-LabVIEW.
