Amazon Games is seeking a highly talented and motivated Technical Program Manager to join our Business Operations team in Seattle, WA.

In this role you will be responsible for driving complex projects and delivering simple, elegant solutions by collecting product and business requirements, driving the development schedule from design to release, making appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, and clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional teams. You will interact with a broad cross section of the Amazon organization as you clarify ambiguous issues and negotiate effective technical solutions between development and business teams. You will anticipate bottlenecks and escalate issues when required in order to ensure on-time delivery.

Key job responsibilities

•Lead planning, execution and delivery of engineering projects across multiple teams, i.e. you will break down complex business requirements into manageable projects, write functional specifications, contribute to system design, solve complex technical problems, interface with multiple teams, and deliver solutions in a successful, agile, and timely manner

•Own communication for technical delivery across these projects with senior leadership and across partner organizations

•Anticipate bottlenecks and balance business needs versus technical constraints to move these projects forward quickly

•Track resource allocation for all projects across all technical teams and keep the overall program roadmap balanced. Prioritize investments in partnership with Product Managers and Business Stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • 2+ years of software development experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience managing distributed system, large scale web application, device software, API, or platform programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • Experience with Agile and Project Management toolsets (Jira - preferred).

  • While extensive gaming experience is not required, we seek candidates with a strong passion for video games and the gaming community.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
