Raytheon is seeking a Sales Business Lead for our Korea team. In this role you will explore new business development opportunities in the South Korean defense market, with specific focus on the Republic of Korea Air Force. You will serve as the primary point of contact for various customers and associated stakeholders. As well as understand urgent customer requirements, develop sales leads and plans, and work strategically with our U.S. based teams to align to Raytheon’s current capability solution sets.

You will report to the Korea Country Executive and work closely with the Korea team currently based in Seoul, South Korea.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships with our key customers to understand their specific needs and capabilities, timelines for implementation, and long-term support.

  • Cultivate and sustain customer intimacy and access through in-person engagements to provide first-to-market knowledge of customer’s requirements; serve as customers’ trusted advisor to create, shape, and develop new business opportunities.

  • Align business lead development with Raytheon product line plan, 5-year international pipeline bookings targets, campaign plans, New Business Investment (NBI) resources, and product-solution availability and release ability.

  • Shape opportunities to support evolving customer capability and solutions needs, budgeting profiles, acquisition approaches, industrial partnership, offsets, and timeline requirements.

  • Lead and participate in business gating and strategic business reviews to support opportunity qualification and validation and increase key team members dedication and advocacy for doing business in Korea.

  • Create business identification, validation, and development of new leads and opportunities.

  • Provide in-country support for Strategic Business Unit (SBU) capture and program team visits to Korea and represent Raytheon at major defense tradeshows and customer events.

  • Collaborate with our specialized internal functional teams in Communications, Strategy, Supply Chain, and Global Government Relations to offer our Strategic Business Unit (SBU) partners: customer insights, go-to-market strategies, customer contact plans and guide maps.

  • Leverage our in-country representatives and consultants operating in Korea who support current pursuits to enhance maximize of customer, competitor, and threat intelligence.

  • Serve as a valued and trusted partner across the RTX company collaborating with and supporting other RTX business units, including Collins Aerospace and Pratt & Whitney to offer integrated solutions.

  • Work closely with many U.S. based teammates located across various locations in the U.S. to achieve our business sales goals.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years' experience.

  • Experience working with the Republic of Korea (ROK) military and government.

  • Experience working projects through the Republic of Korea Defense Acquisition process and knowledge of budgeting, acquisition, sustainment cycles.

  • Experience working with aerospace and defense companies; including working knowledge of capabilities, technologies, solutions, and services.

  • Excellent Korean fluency – speaking / listening / writing ability.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Extensive contacts and active working relationships with the Korea defense customer community (e.g., Republic of Korea military, Korean government entities, Korean defense industry, and Joint U.S. Military Affairs Group - Korea (JUSMAG-K).

  • Excellent English fluency– speaking / listening / writing ability.

  • Familiarity with Asia-Pacific culture, customs, and business norms.
