Job Description

Position Summary:The Deputy Director reports to the Division Director of Children and Family Services and is responsible for the oversight and day-to-day operational activities of our 3 residential programs located in Suffolk COUNTY. This role demands strategic insight, strong collaboration skills, and a commitment to professional development and quality care

Essential Accountabilities:

  • Provide leadership, direction and coordination of services for the three residential programs

  • Monitor programs performance and develop metrics to assess effectiveness of services

  • Monitor and develop trainings to enhance service delivery

  • Provide direct supervision and training to leadership as well as direct care workers

  • Ensure consistent compliance with all applicable state, federal and local regulatory standards throughout the programs

  • Ensure communication and collaborative relationships with clients, families, stakeholders and regulatory agencies

  • Attend relevant county, state and agency held meetings

  • In collaboration with Division Director develop policies and procedures consistent with model of care

  • Assist with electronic health record implementation and use

  • Work with WellLife support departments for day to day management of unit

  • Work with intake team to maintain census in houses and market services to community

  • Complete yearly reports as requested by state and county

  • Assist with programs billing and coordination of agencies billing team for prompt payment

  • Oversee compliance with program paperwork as required by regulatory and agency policy

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to oversee incident reporting and follow up, and execute quality improvement projects to address issues and monitor care quality

Job Qualifications

Requires a minimum of A Bachelor's Degree in Human services and five years of working with children and families. Experience in residential care a plus. Experience with electronic health record a must.
