Enviri Corporation Supplier Relationship Manager in Seven Fields, Pennsylvania

The Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) is responsible for building and managing strategic relationships with key suppliers across North America, which ensures a consistent and reliable supply chain. This position reports to the Director of Procurement in North America. We are seeking a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal and people management skills. The ideal candidate will be able to enhance supplier performance, lead cost optimization efforts, and create added value for Harsco Environmental, Procurement, and our preferred suppliers.

The SRM is accountable for extending savings by matching Harsco Environmental’s needs and requirements to supplier capabilities. They possess a deep understanding of both sides of the supply chain and can optimize supplier relationships while demanding accountability and results. Duties include identifying and qualifying suppliers, implementing new supply arrangements, managing supplier and internal compliance, exception reporting, and consolidating performance information into understandable databases for review and action by Operations and Procurement stakeholders. This role requires strong collaboration skills as they will work closely with divisions and across departments within Harsco, including Sourcing, Purchasing, Operations, Finance, IT, HR, and Legal.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact for all supplier-related activities.

  • Manage the supplier performance management process, including performance evaluation, goal setting, and corrective action plans.

  • Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Asset Management and other relevant departments to identify and implement supplier improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements.

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.

  • Identify and develop new supplier relationships to meet evolving business needs.

  • Proactively manage potential risks and supply chain disruptions, working with suppliers to mitigate these challenges.

  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in supplier relationship management.

  • Implement and maintain effective communication channels with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in supplier relationship management or a related role.

  • Proven track record of building and managing strong supplier relationships.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with supplier performance management systems and tools.

  • Knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
