Sr. Manager - Design Consulting, Northeast GPS China

BASIC FUNCTION S

Within delegated responsibilities and authority of Sr Director- GPS & Sales Ops, KBI, this role seeking highly motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing relationships with design and hotel chain clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships. This role requires excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the design and hospitality industry. Coordinate our sales efforts that are impacted through these customers in Northeast region, especially Shanghai design hub to introduce plumbing products under Kohler Co. Identify project opportunities and grow our project business regionally.

Specific Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

· Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in the design and hotel chain sector in Northeast region.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.

· Conduct regular meetings with clients to review account performance and identify opportunities for growth.

Sales and Revenue Growth

· Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts or new accounts

· Collaborate with the sales team to create and present proposals that meet client needs and drive business growth.

Market and Industry Analysis

· Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

· Provide insights and recommendations to clients based on market analysis and industry best practices and internally to Sales leadership

Specification Management

· Oversee the execution of client proposals requests, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within commercial considerations.

· Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., design, marketing, operations) to ensure seamless project delivery.

Account Strategic Programs

· Create programs or strategic product partnership with hotel flags to address pain points, create value chain to these hospitality customers.

· Develop and implement strategies to increase client retention and loyalty.

Team Management and Reporting

· Prepare regular reports on account status for the team account performance, and project tracking progress.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.

Relationships and contacts

Ø Direct report to Sr Director- GPS & Sales Ops, KBI

Ø Frequent contact with sales management leaders and individual sales reps in China, where the projects are located

Ø Work closely with key clients such as architects/designers/hotel management operators

Skills/Requirements

Ø Bachelor’s degree or above in architectural or design, Business, Marketing

Ø Proven experience as a Key Account Manager lead role managing small team or in a similar role, preferably within the design and hotel chain industries.

Ø Strong understanding of the design and hospitality sectors.

Ø Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ø Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Ø Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset. Analytical with data and able to use that to create business impact.

Ø Strong project management and organizational skills.
