Actalent Site Safety And Health Officer in Shreveport, Louisiana

Job Title: Site Safety and Health OfficerJob Description

We are seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer for a 12-month project that requires EM385-1 certification. The project involves working on a stringent military base, including new construction on a commercial building and retrofitting another commercial building at Barksdale Air Force Base.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards on the construction site.

  • Implement and enforce EM385-1 safety guidelines.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.

  • Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Provide safety training and orientation to all site personnel.

  • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents on site.

  • Maintain detailed safety records and documentation.

Essential Skills

  • EM385-1 certification

  • OSHA 30 certification

  • 5 years of experience in construction safety

  • Experience in federal construction projects

  • Knowledge of construction safety protocols

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • NAVFAC experience is a plus

  • Experience with USACE safety standards

Work Environment

This role is based on a federal military base involving both new construction and retrofitting projects. The work setting includes stringent safety protocols and compliance with military regulations.
