Then you might be the right person to become our new colleague as Production Engineer at Danfoss HydronicS in Silkeborg.

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Production Engineer with a "Hands-On" attitude to join our ambitious and growing team.

In collaboration with 16 colleagues, you will ensure stable production on highly automated equipment. You will be part of a highly skilled team dedicated to optimize production and maximizing our potential capacity, reporting directly to the technical manager at the factory.

The location of this role is in Silkeborg (Denmark). We expect you to work on-site on a regular basis. Speaking Danish is a requirement.

Danfoss Silkeborg

The Silkeborg campus is located in Haarup, east of Silkeborg, close to the highway between Herning and Aarhus.

Approximately 550 employees work at the Silkeborg campus. We supply various valves, thermostats, and district heating units to most of the global market and serve as a competence center for manufacturing brass components and radiator thermostats.

Job Responsibilities

As a Production Engineer , you will be responsible for the processes and technologies used in a highly automated factory.

Your focus will be on the hot stamping department, but you will also need to plan and execute various projects across the factory.

Your role will involve ensuring optimal operation and productivity while maintaining the quality standards of the produced products.

Key tasks and responsibilities within Operation, Quality, and Productivity in our Production Areas will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Project management for technical tasks such as investments in new machinery, reconstructions, optimizations, cost reduction activities, or renovation projects

• Implementing new product variants in the hot stamping area, including new forging tools and other equipment

• Introducing, implementing, and optimizing quality processes in production using various quality tools and procurement of testing equipment

• Participating in lean projects and developing plans for production optimizations

• Supporting and assisting production, primarily in the hot stamping department

• Participating in IATF16949 implementation (quality standard) by carrying out tasks such as PFMEAs, control plans, maintenance plans, etc.

Background & Skills

To be considered for this role , you hold a mid-level qualification education, possibly as a mechanical or production engineer, production technologist, marine engineer, mechanical technician, or another relevant qualification.

We expect that you bring practical experience from the technical field, preferably in areas such as process optimization, lean implementation, quality improvement, and project management.

You are familiar with some of the following automated technologies and processes: Fully automated hydraulic presses, automated induction heating systems, robot and PLC controls, 3D CAD tool drawing and simulation and some general hot forging process knowledge. Experience from the brass forging industries or similar will be an advantage but not a requirement.
