TEKsystems Payer Clearance Specialist in Silver Spring, Maryland

A Day in the Role:

  • Verifying Authorizations for the patients coming in for surgeries, making sure they have everything they need to charge them on the back end. Authorizations will be in a variety of specialties including Genetic Testing, Radiology, Surgery, Cardiology and others.

  • Reaching out to the insurance companies to verify insurance and verify coverage constantly.

  • Start the process of submitting Authorizations and the process from start to finish. They will also be auditing appeals and denials. Writing own appeals.

  • Experience specifically in out of state Medicaid’s. For surgery and clinic visits. This new program we are scheduling visits for will require us to submit for both the clinic visit and surgical visit at the same time (not our usual model).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Insurance/Prior Authorization previous experience

  • Benefits Verification previous experience
