Directs all facility services and staff in maintaining physical facilities in Australia, China, India, Japan, and Singapore. This role also directs facility development and enhancement initiatives in Asia and Pacific regions.

Facility services functions include office services, maintenance, janitorial/grounds, utilities management, facilities design and construction, future planning for growth, and safety/environmental services.

About the position:

This position:

  • Provides future vision and strategies that align with Business Unit objectives including manpower, budgets, cost reduction, and customer service. A significant portion of the incumbent's time is spent in the development of new approaches to complex issues.

  • Directs staffing, development and performance management programs for all facilities management staff; managing, motivating and developing management team.

  • Maintains communications and relationships with customers, local community, service providers, and utilities.

  • Develops plans and strategies for infrastructure and processes needed to run facilities in accordance with operational standards and regulatory procedures.

The incumbent will establish and then monitor general policies and guidelines for initiatives under his/her control to ensure desired results are achieved.

Degree Requirement

  • Degree or equivalent experience desired

Skill Descriptors

Facilities Management: Knowledge of processes, methodologies and techniques used to manage facilities; ability to handle the full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure.

Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
