Job Description:

You shall team up with cross functional stake holders to understand the product development needs.

• Identify, initiate, recommend, and oversee programs to design connector and cable assemblies like OSFP-XD, CDFP etc.

• Understanding of interconnect standards like IEEE 802.3/ PCIe / InfiniBand will be an advantage

• Know of product qualifications following EIA / TIA , MIL, IPC standard will be an advantage

• Lead teams to drive NPI projects, to launch new

• Establishes network of resources with multiple disciplines, with division & global manufacturing team..

• Builds a working knowledge of key corporate initiatives and applies appropriate tools.

• Provides appropriate and timely documentation of work as required by the business unit.

• Intellectual Property: Create new intellectual property for new design work to consolidate 3M values for customer.

• Demonstrate Can-do attitude.

• Work with manufacturing team for tool design and qualification.

• Detailed design such as DFMEA, Tolerance analysis, Mechanical and thermal simulation, 2D drawing etc.

• Interface with customer to understand VoC

  Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required and Master's is preferred.

• Mechanical engineer with 5+ years of experience.

• Responsible for high-speed cable assemblies and connector product design & development for data center application.

• Excellent skill in Design Software (For Example: UG / NX, AutoCAD. etc.)

• Familiarity with industry standard like IEEE 802.3 / PCIe will an added advantage.

• Able to analyze mechanical test methods and conduct tests.

• Good English skill in both Oral and Written

• Good communication and presentation skill

• Knowledge for signal integrity will be added advantage
