Carpenter Helper/General Laborer - Weekly Pay - $27/hr - Starts ASAP
Description:
The Carpenter's Helper plays a crucial role in assisting carpenters in their daily tasks and ensuring smooth operations in the plant. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The Carpenter's Helper will assist in various stages of form building. Carpenter helpers will perform basic carpentry tasks, and contribute to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibility
This position works with the carpenters in performing all activities related to fabrication and setup of forms for all precast concrete products fabricated in the plant, as well as performing miscellaneous carpentry work as directed by management
Meets regularly with the carpenters to discuss anticipated production sequences and potential form construction problems, and to provide input on improvement of work processes and work flow
Properly maintains tools and utilizes appropriate safety guards
Assist carpenters in measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood or other construction materials according to specifications.
Carry out general labor duties such as lifting heavy materials, moving equipment, and cleaning the work area.
Operate power tools and equipment under the guidance of a carpenter, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
Assist in repairing and building forms.
