Spodeck Contracting Lawn Care Specialist in Skandia, Michigan
Spodeck Contracting is seeking a Lawn Care Technician to operate one of their zero-turn riding lawn mowers and or weed whips. This is a lawn maintenance position that requires an extremely reliable, highly motivated, independent individual to mutually assist fellow employees in maintaining the lawn care of multiple business accounts in and around the Marquette area. This position includes meeting each morning at Spodeck Contracting, 6900 US HWY 41 S, in Skandia, Michigan. As a technician you will begin with the maintenance checks of your truck and trailer and all lawn care equipment needed to service the lawn care accounts scheduled for that day. Mechanical experience is highly preferred, but not required. Our operating hours are Monday-Friday 7am - 4pm, including some possible Saturday's when inclement weather arises.
Lawn care technician must always practice proper safety, including the safe and proper use of the company vehicle and all equipment assigned. The ideal individual must be able to work in hot conditions while adhering to proper uniform standards. This position will lead to a snow removal position during the winter season.

Some of the expectations of the employee include (but are not limited to):
- Filling Out & Returning Basic Report Documents on a Daily Basis
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
- Operate truck and trailer + mowers, trimmers, & blowers efficiently
- Debris & weed removal
- Must be able to satisfy physical requirements
- Professional and positive attitude is required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 -- 45 per week
