Role reports to: Sr Director, Global Project & Portfolio Management Office

Location: Kenvue's corporate headquarters is currently located in Skillman NJ, but is scheduled to move to Summit, NJ in or around early 2025.

Travel %: 20

Pay: Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $137,000 to $235,750. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.

What you will do

The Director, Global Project Management Center of Excellence (COE) & Analytics is responsible for building and maturing the project management capability within Operations through development and deployment of a common project management framework of standards and tools, ensuring a minimum and consistent project management competency across the organization. The team provides project and portfolio tools, analytic services and expertise through standard reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions, and has ownership for the project portfolio management system (Planisware) to enable data-driven portfolio prioritization and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Drives the direction and strategy to mature the project management capability across the various project management groups within Operations, including end-to-end project managers (PMs), functional PMs, and non-PMs within Operations. In partnership with the Learning & Development team, develops and provides training, coaching and other development opportunities. Builds a Community of Practice across the Project Management network to provide a continuous learning forum to share ideas, best practices and develop a sense of connection/belonging and enhance career opportunities.
Develops and deploys a global playbook of standards, tools, templates, and best practices for Project Management across Operations. Develops/improves approaches and assets to enable optimization and management of portfolios of projects with predictable consistency, efficiency, and value creation. Tracks compliance with standards, measures effectiveness and business impact and takes corrective action when necessary.
Acts as a thought leader for project and portfolio management, conducting benchmarking and other external best practice analysis to stay abreast of new tools, approaches, and trends. Develops and implements the Project Management maturity roadmap, along with the supporting technology and analytical capability roadmaps. Partners with Portfolio Management, IT and other partners to implement technology, analytics, and tool improvements.
Acts as a Project Management champion and advocates for the PM function and COE through engagement, partnership, and building trust and credibility with leadership and the broader organization. Tracks and communicates value creation and impact of Project Management capability and COE.
Strategic partner to the business, working closely with the Portfolio Management team and others to provide portfolio insights and recommendations to enable objective allocation of resources and investments across projects and portfolios to deliver on strategic and financial goals. Provides a central single source of truth analytics service, including live self-serve reporting and regular Board level dashboards/status reports.
Business Product Owner of Project Portfolio Management tool (Planisware), providing training, troubleshooting and day to day support. Partners with Procurement and vendor on licensing and service contracts. Owns system change management process, ensuring the tool meets ongoing business needs and supports future capabilities. Works with vendor on new capabilities and requirements, support, and new releases, conducting business acceptance testing and training the organization.
Coaches and develops a team of managers and analysts. Set priorities and manages workload of team and offshore contractors.
What we are looking for

Required qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
A minimum of 12 years of business/work experience.
Inclusive people leader, with at least 5 years of experience in managing a team, with proven ability to inspire and deliver results through others with trust and empowerment.
Proven success in building and maturing project management capabilities in a Fortune 500 company via an Enterprise Center of Excellence type model including building leadership support and communicating value proposition and impact, and demonstrated success developing, deploying, and driving adoption of common project management frameworks, tools, and standards, including people...
