Orchard Village is seeking a full-time School Social Worker to join our team!
Description:
- Provide individual and small group social work services to students as determined by the IEP team.
- Develop, plan, and assist students with academic and social emotional programming in a wide range of settings.
- Liaison between parents/guardian, school officials, and community resources
- Conduct and collect data through evaluations, risk assessments, community based social skill integration, and other formative assessment
Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Social Work
- Social Work License (LSW) issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (DFPR)
- State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) as a school social worker (Type 73 (School Service Personnel Certificate with a Social Worker Endorsement), preferred
- Background in testing and measurement.
- Experience in counseling and crisis intervention.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience working with the social/emotional needs of children and knowledge of special education.
- Team experience including developing IEPs and coordinating services (including outside supports).
