Job Description

We are currently hiring an Advanced Digital Manufacturing Manager to join our team in Sligo, on our Manorhamilton Road site. The Advanced Digital Manufacturing Manager is concerned with formulation and execution of strategies to build and support a globally integrated Advanced Digital Manufacturing (ADM) department for new and existing technology. This person will also be joining our Senior Leadership Team for the site.

The role is also concerned with formulation and execution of strategies to build and support Digital Transformation and Innovative culture on-site.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the necessary controls are in place to ensure excellence in regulatory, safety and environmental compliance.

  • Ensure department operates compliantly with AbbVie Global QA/IT policies.

  • Establish with the Site Director the department goals, schedules and timetables.

  • Control and report critical departmental performance metrics, including departmental budgets.

  • Maximise the potential of all personnel, by successful career development planning and by encouraging an atmosphere of involvement, open communication and effective teamwork.

  • Builds strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives. Interacts internally and externally with executive level management, outside regulatory agencies, vendors and/or suppliers.

  • Makes and executes support function decisions with a strategic perspective in response to operational requirements.

  • Management and leadership of site Digital Transformation activities ensuring the adoption and nurture a culture of continuous improvement is demonstrated in both of business processes and personnel development.

Qualifications

+ + A Bachelors Degree in an appropriate Science, Engineering or Business Discipline is required.

  • 7 years plus of experience in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing industry, with relevant managerial experience plus experience of executing strategic business projects

  • 3 years plus experience working in IT/OT environment preferably with direct manufacturing exposure

  • 3 years plus of demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and meeting the predefined quality requirements.

  • 3 years plus of direct people management experience at management level.
